Sebanyak 170 game terdaftar dalam 30 kategori nominasi di ajang The Game Award 2021, di antaranya nominasi Game of The Year, Best Mobile Game, Best Action Game, Best E-sport Game, Best Indie, Best Mobile Game, Best Action Game dan masih banyak lagi.
Untuk nominasi Game of The Year nominasinya diisi oleh Deathloop, It Takes Two, Metroid Dream, Psychonauts 2, Ratchet & Clank: Rift Apart dan Resident Evil: Village.
